Nanda Mannya Temple is a few hundred yards away from the Paya Thone Zu. It is a small vaulted chamber with only one entrance in the east. The interior walls are entirely decorated with fine frescoes. The image of the seated Buddha image inside the temple is greatly ruined.

The mural paintings on the walls depict life stories of Buddha at his birth, his renunciation of the mundane world, and the three daughters of Mara Nat dressed in Bagan attire.

History

The structure may be linked to the mid-13th century. It is said that the name Nanda Mannya is derived from Anantapyinnyar, meaning Infinite Wisdom.
